Welcome to Northeast Jones, Home of the Tigers!

Northeast Jones is a special place, and we are thrilled that you are visiting our website. As a part of the Jones County School district located on the northeast side of Jones county off of Highway 84 east, we draw students from the communities of Powers, Cleo, Glade, Landrum, Ovett, Sandersville, Mt. Olive, Myrick, Hoy, and Sharon.

With over 900 students enrolled in grades 7-12, NEJ is the smallest high school in Jones County. However, we pride ourselves on the rapport we share and our unified mission of serving our students within our community.

NEJ aims to set students up for success both during their time in school and beyond in a multitude of areas. We offer accelerated, advanced placement, and dual credit courses in a number of subject areas including English, math, science, social science, and extra-curricular courses. Additionally, we encourage community service and extracurricular involvement by our students through sports, fine arts, after school activities, clubs and organizations. With a hybrid of single periods and block schedules, we want to offer students opportunities to engage in superior learning and excel in challenging curriculum while giving them the support they need to be successful. Our goal is to prepare our students, so they leave Northeast Jones ready for the college or career path they choose.

We are excited you are here; look around and learn more about what it means to be a NEJ Tiger!
